The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® certified CPR/AED & First Aid Course provides a complete adult, child and Infant CPR / AED Training and teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.
The Optional First Aid Certification includes:
First Aid Basics
Medical Emergencies – Asthma, Allergic Reactions, Fainting, Diabetes, Stroke, and Seizures
Injury Emergencies – Bleeding, Shock Penetrating Injuries, Amputation, Nose Bleeds, Tooth & Eye Injuries, Internal Bleeding, Concussions, Head, Neck & Spine Injuries, Splinting, Burns, and Electrical Injuries
Environmental Emergencies – Bites and Stings, Heat Related Injuries, Cold Related Injuries, Poison Emergencies, & Prevention Strategies
Course Length : 2-4 Hours, Certification is valid for 2 years and Meets Federal, State, OSHA, Hospital, Insurance and Government Requirements. CPR/AED course is designed to teach students CPR for victims of all ages, use the automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of choking. Instruction is given on recognition of life threatening emergencies and basic CPR techniques. It is available to anyone desiring, or required, to obtain the knowledge and skills taught at this level. Upon successful completion of skills demonstration, students will receive their Heartsaver® CPR/AED & Optional First Aid course completion card which is valid for two years.
